Welcome to the Northeast Kingdom Amateur Radio Club!  The NEK ARC was formed in the fall of 2015 to help bring together Amateur Radio operators and enthusiasts in Orleans, Essex, and Caledonia counties of Vermont, also known as the "Northeast Kingdom", a name given to the tri-county area many years ago by Governor George Aiken.

For many years there was a local club in Orleans County but, for several reasons, that club disbanded and the repeaters operated by the club from atop Jay Peak were taken over by the St. Albans Amateur Radio Club.  There has been very little amateur radio club activity for many years in the NEK and it is hoped that once again having a local club will rejuvenate some interest!

If you are interested in joining the club, click on the "Application" tab above for a membership application.  Active membership (voting member) is for anyone who holds a valid FCC Amateur License.  Associate membership (non-voting) is for all others.  Of course, anyone wanting to make a financial contribution to the club along with their membership application may do so.

The club doesn't formally operate any local repeaters at the moment.  Club member and President Phil Brooks, KA1PXZ, operates a UHF repeater located in Glover (449.075, -5k, PL 100.0)  Lets get the club organized and in the meantime, feel free to use the repeater - it is open to all.

The website is a work-in-progress so check back often for updates.  In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact Phil, KA1PXZ at ka1pxz@arrl.net.
